Daily Post Matters of Taste

The critics raved about it. Rotten Tomatoes fans had it at 87%.  There was “Oscar talk” for it’s leading man. The movie?  “Her”.  A small movie about Theodore Twombly, a quiet introverted guy whose job is to write beautiful poetic soulful personal letters for other people.  He acquires a new phone with an operating system that he falls in love with.

One hour into the movie, we walked out.  Mind you, this is long past our usual stay or walk cut off time.  If a movie is boring or not capturing attention within 20 minutes of the start, OUT.  And we ask for our money back,  Which we did with this movie.  But we did something different.  Instead of a monetary refund, we took tickets to another film.  This gem was “Saving Mr. Banks”.  Ok so maybe this is my most recent movie that the critics and fans loves but I didn’t.  Both boring as heck and I didn’t care about the characters one iota.

That’s a current personal record, ya’know.  Two lousy movies in one day.

Well, off to the movies!

He writes about “cutting away” and “stripping away”. He’s got bloggers writing about his “warm heart” and “beautiful soul”. What he doesn’t write about is how he lived off me for years. He doesn’t write about the abuse he heaped on me, his kids and our daughter. But I was his target. He is very jealous of me and what I had. He told me I was high maintence, crazy, a bitch, and everything else. But he would cry if I talked about him paying a bill or two. I believed what he said when we first met. Now I see he was disguising himself. We lived together in my one bedroom apartment for almost 18 years. We have a daughter. Since I got him out of my house I realize he is a misogynst psychopath. He’s got a therapist. When I asked him what is your diagnosis, he said “I’m not telling you.
